McCook to Minden —95 mi, 153 km
These days are long biking days; you can understand that if you see the distances. This day the surprise was that we had a tail wind, so the biking was easier. Still 152 kilometers is a long way.
We biked through different small villages. One of them had a main street with a nice bank building...
...but the rest of the street was boarded up or for sale.
On the corner was an abandoned gas station, where I made pictures of some old cars.
You definitely see a lot more details from the country while traveling by bicycle than when you travel by car.
I was again “on duty” this afternoon. Our group had to help serve supper and clean up later. After such a long biking day, we are tired and go to bed early. Good night.
