Day 42 - Crossroads Church: A good place to camp and to celebrate

Day 42 - Sunday, August 10

Rest day in Madison

The Crossroads church in Madison received us very well. Sunday morning we had a celebration service in the church with a sermon about “faithfulness”. Every Sunday we have a sermon about one of the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5). After the service there was again a mission fair, where Leanne and I talk with the people about the work of CRWRC and hand out brochures.

This church also had the children make welcome signs, which were in the garden in front of the church.

Even on the doors of the church the Sea-to-Sea tour was promoted.

In the afternoon I cleaned my bike chain and reorganized the baskets in the gear truck.

There was also a concert of an Unkualung Choir, which consisted of a group of ladies, who played a type of musical instrument (Unkualung) imported from Thailand.

In the evening, there was a short service outside with another CRC in Madison.

This is the start of week 7. We have completed 6 out of 9 weeks. This church in Madison was a good place to camp and to celebrate. We thank the people of the CRC in Madison for their hospitality.

Thanks for taking time to blog and upload pics as well. I am enjoying the tour very much. From my computer chair. Actually, I am a cyclist myself and have recorded 2000 U.S. miles this year. I did not join CtoC because I had knee replacement in Nov and wasn't sure how it would heal. It has!
